The company started to operate in August 2000, as a sole proprietorship, under the name Long Island PC Doctors, offering computer repair services to individuals and small local businesses.

In October 2002, the company added web design, web programming, and web hosting to its portfolio of services and changed its name to Vyrix Systems.
